The evening includes cocktail hour, dinner, dessert, silent auction, and keynote speaker Yossi Klein Halevi discussing “Israel and the Jewish People: Challenges and Opportunities” 

Yossi Klein Halevi is a distinguished author, journalist, thinker, and commentator on Jewish and Israeli affairs. He is a frequent contributor to the op-ed pages of leading newspapers and magazines and is a Senior Fellow at the Shalom Hartman Institute in Jerusalem, where together with Imam Abdullah Antepli of Duke University, he co-directs the Institute’s Muslim Leadership Initiative. Yossi is the New York Times bestselling author of Letters to My Palestinian Neighbor. Other books include Like Dreamers: The Story of the Israeli Paratroopers Who Reunited Jerusalem and Divided a Nation, which won the Jewish Book Council’s Everett Book of the Year Award; At the Entrance to the Garden of Eden: A Jew’s Search for God with Christians and Muslims in the Holy Land; and Memoirs of a Jewish Extremist, the story of his teenage attraction to, and subsequent disillusionment with Jewish militancy. The New York Times called it “a book of burning importance.” Originally from Brooklyn, Yossi has resided in Jerusalem since 1982. We are thrilled to have Yossi at the Jewish Federation for this special evening!
