All women are invited to join this JFT sisterhood program centered around Judaism, women, and water. Water and cleansing are connected in many Jewish rituals, such as washing of hands (netilyat yadayim) and immersion in ritual baths (mikveh). However, Yoga practice and Judaism both emphasize that cleansing of body and soul starts from the inside. We will gather at the Sharna and Irvin Frank Aquatics center with Dr. Sarah-Anne Schumann for a teaching about the Jewish rituals pertaining to cleansing, followed by a water-themed guided meditation with a gentle mindful movement practice with our feet in the water.
